4 for Texas is a 1963 American Western Comedy directed by Robert Aldrich and starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Charles Bronson and Anita Ekberg. When Zack Thomas (Sinatra) and Joe Jarrett (Martin) make off in a Texas stagecoach with $100,000, they must decide what to do with their newfound riches. They begin to compete to see who can open a waterfront casino first, but quickly encounter problems. While the two men become increasingly irritated with each other, they must band together against common enemies in Harvey Burden (Victor Buono), a crooked banker, and Matson (Bronson), a hired outlaw. Never too distracted however, the men compete for the affections of the voluptuous Elya Carlson (Ekberg) and Maxine Richter (Ursula Andress). In a surprise cameo, the Three Stooges do their "point to he right" and "State of Texas" routines in the middle of the film. 4 for Texas was not well received by critics.moreless
