Twenty-seven year old, mild-mannered Adam is a public radio journalist who learns he has a malignant tumor  on his spine, and must undergo chemotherapy. He discovers via the Internet that he has a 50/50 chance of survival. His best friend and co-worker Kyle is brash and outspoken  but he's the one who gets Adam through it all.
