75 Degrees in July is a 2000 drama directed by Hyatt Bass. The film is set in the Texas countryside and focuses on the Anderson family, a wealthy family that has made their money in the ranching business. Rick Anderson (Harris Yulin) is a cold-hearted businessman who puts business before family. His wife, Jo Beth Anderson (Shirley Knight), wants more out of life but has no means to make that happen. Their grown daughters are very different from each other. Kay Colburn (Heidi Swedberg) gave up a promising singing career to stay in Texas and marry the ranch foreman. Her sister, Letty Anderson (Karen Silas), is a strong-willed girl who ignored her parent's wishes and moved to New York to pursue a career in art. Letty has been away from her family for several years but is coming home to attend her hometown galleries exhibition of her art. How will Letty's visit affect her family?moreless
