A Brother's Kiss is a drama and the directorial debut of writer/director by Seth Zvi Rosefeld. The film was released in 1997 and tells the story of Mick (Michael Raynor) and Lex (Nick Chinlund), brothers who grew up on the streets of Harlem. Their mother (Cathy Moriarty) is a diabetic with a drinking problem and is often in bad health and who frequently brings home strange men. One night, Lex is forced to defend Mick from an unlikely predator, which lands him in reform school. Mick stays out of trouble, but spends the rest of his childhood trying to live down the shame and remorse he experiences as the result of being raped. Years later Mick is a police officer trying to live down his past and do what is right, and Lex has earned a hard reputation and a trouble-maker and is finding it hard to get by. When Lex gets himself into serious trouble, Mick is forced to try to save his brother without losing himself.moreless
