A Colder Kind of Death is the fourth film in a series featuring ex-detective Joanne Kilbourn (Wendy Crewson), who has left the police force and now works as a criminology professor as well as a commentator on criminal matters for the local news. Joanne is shocked when the murderer of her husband, Ian (Edward Jaunz), is captured after six long years. Kevin Tarpley (Christopher Bolton) claims he is innocent of the crime, but before he can seek justice, a sniper kills him as he leaves the police station. Tarpley has a viper of a wife, Maureen Gault (Kari Matchett), who suggests she has had an affair with Joanne's late husband, but also claims that Ian's previous cabinet associates are in deeper than they claim. As Joanne probes more into the case along with her friend Inspector Philip Millard (Victor Garber), she discovers that these former friends of her husband are withholding something important that could lead to finding Ian's true killer. Brad Turner gives a crisp direction to the film and it features an ensemble cast with Robin Dunne, Teri Garr, Eric Peterson, Jason Knight, and Callahan Connor.moreless
