A Double Tour is a 1959 dramatic thriller directed by Claude Chabrol. L''da (Antonella Lualdi) has just moved from Japan to the French countryside. Since the lovely redheaded artist does not know anybody, she finds herself feeling isolated and uncertain. When her wealthy neighbor, Henri Marcoux (Jacques Dacqmine), displays interest in L''da, she is lonely enough to feel flattered and begin a scandalous love affair. Over time, L''da comes to know more about the Marcoux family, including Henri's uptight and anxious wife, Th''r''se (Madeleine Robinson), his pretentious and clingy son, Richard (Andr'' Jocelyn) and his impulsive daughter, Elisabeth (Jeanne Val''rie). L''da also realizes that Henri is dependent on Th''r''se for his wealth and status, meaning that he will probably not continue their affair for much longer. It turns out that she is right, since L''da is soon found murdered. When the entire Marcoux family and their servant, Julie (Bernadette Lafont), become prime suspects, tensions run high.
