A Goofy Movie is a 1995 Disney animated feature about Goofy and his family. Directed by Kevin Lima, the film features characters from the popular children's TV show Goof Troop, and acts as a sequel to the television series. Teenager Max Goof (voice of James Marsden) has a strained relationship with his embarrassing dad Goofy (voice of Bill Farmer). Goofy has plans to take Max on a cross-country road trip for a week-long fishing vacation in Idaho. This is terrible news for Max. He made plans to take the girl of his dreams, Roxanne (voice of Kellie Martin), to a big end-of-the-year party to watch a Powerline music concert on a big-screen television. When Max goes to Roxanne's house to tell her he will have to cancel their date, Roxanne tells him that, if he won't go with her, she will go with someone else. When Max hears this, he makes up a story about his father knowing Powerline, and he tells her that he is going to be onstage performing with the band. Max and Goofy experience a number of hilarious adventures on their trip, and as time passes, they begin to form a close bond. When Max opens up to Goofy and tells him that he told Roxanne he was going to Los Angeles to perform with Powerline, Goofy decides that he will take Max to the concert.moreless
