A Kid in King Arthur's Court is a 1995 family adventure comedy directed by Michael Gottlieb. The film is based on the Mark Twain novel, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. In the film, Calvin Fuller (Thomas Ian Nicholas) is a nerdy young boy from Reseda, California. In an attempt to broaden his horizons his parents insist he play baseball for the local baseball team, the Knights, despite Calvin's resistance to learn the game. At one particular game, Calvin is preparing for humiliation while he is at bat when an earthquake suddenly rocks Reseda. Unfortunately for Calvin, the ground underneath him opens up and he tumbles into another dimension. When he lands, he quickly learns he is in Camelot. A knight rushes him to the castle where King Arthur (Joss Ackland) announces Calvin is the knight Merlin (Ron Moody) predicted would be sent to save Camelot. Calvin insists he is no knight, but King Arthur will not listen. Soon, Calvin is presented with a list of seemingly impossible tasks that he must complete. Is Calvin the knight Merlin predicted he was, or is this a case of mistaken identity?moreless
