A Lawless Street is a 1955 American classic western film starring Randolph Scott, Angela Lansbury and Warner Anderson. Marshal Calem Ware (Scott) is the marshal of Medicine Bend, a small western town where everybody knows everybody's business. Ware is a quiet man with a troubled past. He rarely speaks to anyone and spends his days killing others so that he will stay alive himself. When a traveling show troupe arrives in Medicine Bend, Ware realizes that one its members is from his past. Tally Dickinson (Lansbury) was Ware's old flame, but they have not seen each other for many years. Ware must then protect himself from those that learn his past, as they try and kill him by any means necessary. Also starring Jean Parker, Wallace Ford, John Emery, James Bell, Ruth Donnelly, and Harry Antrim, A Lawless Street was directed by Joseph H. Lewis and based on a story by Brad Ward.
