A Little Sex is a 1982 comedy film about the premise that married men are naturally programmed to cheat on their spouse. The story follows a man named Michael Donovan (Tim Matheson) who used to be a womanizer and a sex addict. His life changes when he meets and falls in love with Katherine Hamilton (Kate Capshaw). The two end up dating with Michael genuinely trying to remain faithful. The actual movie starts ten months into the relationship with tensions high and the couple tired of living with each other. An exasperated Kate and an irritated Michael decide that the best way to fix the problem is by getting married. The couple exchange vows and all seems well until Michael starts missing his old life. His best friend Tommy (Edward Herrmann) does nothing to help the situation and tries to convince him that cheating is fine by telling him that "'Love is apples, marriage is oranges, not everybody can stomach fruit cocktail." Unwilling to cheat on the woman he loves, Michael does all he can to remain monogamous, but it suddenly and inexplicably seems as if every woman in New York is interested in him. The movie was directed by Bruce Paltrow and written by Robert De Laurentiis.moreless
