A Man Called Peter is the 1955 film based on the true story of Peter Marshall, a Scottish immigrant who dreamed of the sea, but received a ÒcallingÓ from God to preach his word. Marshall leaves Scotland to lead small congregations in rural America. He works his way to Washington D.C. and eventually becomes appointed as U.S. Senate Chaplain. The movie is based on the best-selling account of his life written by his wife Catherine Marshall. It is a powerful tale about love and wisdom, about the loyalty of a dynamic man for his God, and the tender love between a man and his wife. The story revolves around Peter's remarkable faith. Viewers witness his sermons and prayers, and the inspiration he spreads through his words and life of dedication.
