A Pain in the Ass (L'emmerdeur) is a 2008 French action comedy directed by Francis Veber. Seasoned hit man Ralf (Richard Berry) agrees to take an assignment that will require him to live in a small hotel far away from home. With his human target securely in his sights, Ralf tells himself that this job will surely be easy money. However, his newfound neighbor Francois (Patrick Timsit) keeps ruining Ralf's chances of shooting his target. Depressed, despondent, and suicidal, Francois takes the room next to Ralf and immediately begins to tell him about his marital troubles. Ralf is distracted and annoyed because he's eager to shoot his target and leave the area without any witnesses, but Francois won't leave him alone. A Pain in the Ass is a vibrant, quirky comedy with French dialogue and English subtitles. It will be appreciated by all Francophiles, particularly those who love sardonic French humor.
