A Sinful Life, released in 1989, is a comedy directed by William Schreiner and written by Melanie Graham. The movie focuses on the life of Claire Vin Blance (Anita Morris), a single mother and former 'Sonny and Cher' dancer who has devolved into little more than an alcoholic. As Claire attempts to parent her daughter Baby (Blair Tefkin), it is apparent that Claire lacks basic parenting skills. Baby is constantly late to school and after repeated infractions her teacher makes a visit to Claire's home. This leads to disaster as the teacher sees the dismal living conditions and Claire's lack of parenting skills and bad life choices. The teacher threatens to have Baby taken away from Claire's home and the poor environment. Claire realizes that she has come to a crossroads and must choose to remain in her current state or struggle to overcome her lifestyle choices to transform herself into a model mother.
