A Time to Die, directed by Charles T. Kanganis, is an action-drama starring Traci Lords as a photographer and single mother who is wrongfully accused of a crime. After being arrested on a trumped-up cocaine possession charge, Jackie (Traci Lords) is sentenced to 400 hours of community service. She must complete her debt in full in order to regain custody of her young son. She agrees to become a photographer for the LAPD shooting police action shots. While on assignment, Jackie involves herself in a bust gone bad and ends up saving the life of a police officer named Frank (Jeff Conaway). Afterwards the two begin to develop a relationship. Trouble once again finds Jackie as she witnesses a murder perpetrated by the officer who had arrested her. Desperate to reunite with her son, she uses the pictures to blackmail the dirty cop and force him to recant his original testimony. Not going down so easily, the officer fights back, leaving Jackie to go on the offensive against corrupt and violent forces.moreless
