Aamne Saamne is a 1967 Bollywood thriller directed by Suraj Prakash. Deepak (Shashi Kapoor) is a husband who stands accused of murdering his wife in order to obtain her money. Even though everybody thinks that he is guilty, he is acquitted at her murder trial due to lack of evidence. Then, he takes the large fortune, moves to Bombay, buys a nice house, and changes his name to Gopal. Once he is in Bombay, Gopal meets beautiful, wealthy Sapna (Sharmila Tagore), who lives across from him. After a few chance meetings in public, they start a romantic relationship. The problem is that Sapna already has a boyfriend, Prem (Prem Chopra), who loves her and is very suspicious of Gopal's intentions. When mysterious things start happening to Sapna, the viewer must decide if Gopal has been injustly labeled as a murderer, or if he is truly a psychopathic killer out to get his next female victim.
