Across 110th Street is an action-packed crime drama from director Barry sheer and based on the novel by the same name by Wally Ferris. After two police officers are slain during a $300,000 heist, two of New York City's finest, Lieutenant Pope (Yaphet Kotto) and Captain Mattelli (Anthony Quinn), are assigned to the case. They quickly learn that the money in question belongs to the Italian mob, and that the three perpetrators who carried out the crime had brashly disguised themselves as police officers to successfully pull off the heist. The Mafia has their own henchman, Nick D'Salvio (Anthony Franciosa), on the thieves' trail as well and, while the officers are bound by their pledge to follow the law in their pursuit, D'Salvio isn't above using more creative and illegal methods of gathering information. Will Pope and Mattelli bring the criminals to justice, or will D'Salvio find them first and bring them to the grave?
