Acts of Worship is a 2001 drama directed by Rosemary Rodriguez and starring Ana Reeder, Michael Hyatt, Christopher Kadish and Nestor Rodriguez. The plot of the movie is about a young New York City woman, Alix (Ana Reeder), who is a drug addict. Frustrated with dealing with her addictions and half-hearted rehab attempts, her boyfriend, Mark (Christopher Kadish), throws her out. Out on the streets with nowhere to go, Alix is forced to fend for herself. Mark briefly takes Alix back in then tosses her out again after he realizes she has no intentions of kicking her drug habit. After overdosing on heroin, a photographer and former addict, Digna (Michael Hyatt), takes Alix in. Although his friend, Anthony (Nestor Rodriguez) objects to Digna taking in Alix, he does so anyway to help her beat her addiction. Digna is now forced to help Alix stay clean while he attempts to keep himself from relapsing.
