Addicted To Love is a romantic comedy about a man and woman working together to get back at the people who dumped them. Sam (Matthew Broderick) and Linda (Kelly Preston) were the perfect couple according to Sam. Linda, however, doesn't agree, and leaves him for the sexy French hunk, Anton (Tch'ky Karyo). Sam, broken hearted and miserable, does the next best thing; he sets up shop in an abandoned building next to their shared apartment, in order to keep tabs on Linda. His obsessive spying is interrupted, however, when the equally forlorn Maggie (Meg Ryan) breaks into the stakeout spot to keep tabs on Anton, who happens to be her ex-fiance. Working together, Sam and Maggie manage to put some serious roadblocks in Linda and Anton's relationship, from lipstick on the collar to the errant panties in the couch cushions. Breaking apart the the new couple is all going according to plan when Sam and Maggie begin to fall for one another, throwing an unexpected curve ball into both of their grand designs.
