Adios Amigo is what Sam Spade (Richard Pryor) ends up saying to his old friend Big Ben (Fred Williamson) time and time again as Ben chases Spade across the Old West. The two are a pair of misfit criminals who occasionally partner up, mostly to the benefit of Spade, who usually leaves Ben holding the bag. Formerly, Ben was known as the fastest gun in the west. However, alongside Spade, he ends up as little more than the brunt of Spade's self-important scheming. Ben, for some reason, stays close on the heels of Spade as he runs from the law and an army of bandits on the hunt for gold. As Ben observes, "I hate it when people call me 'Amigo.' That always means something bad is about to happen." Spade leaves Ben behind as ransom while he tries to seize a buried treasure for himself. Neither of the two seem to be getting rich quick, but both will keep trying as long as they're on the run.
