Agata and the Storm is a classic Italian comedy produced by Albachiara studios and Amka Films Productions in 2004, and directed by Silvio Soldini. Set in the charming atmosphere of Genoa and the breathtaking greenery of the Po Valley, the movie tells the story of Agata (Licia Maglietta), who runs her own bookstore and lives a calm, peaceful life. One day, an electrical accident makes the bulbs in the store go dim and kicks off a romantic and hilarious chain of events which will take her across the beautiful country of Italy beside her depressed and pessimistic younger brother Gustavo (Emilio Solfrizzi). Along the way she is going to discover family secrets, find her true love Nico (Claudio Santamaria) and see things she would have never encountered had she stayed in her quiet and comfortable bookstore. Join Agata on her journey through the Po Valley for some amazing Italian scenery, a beautiful romance and a good lough.
