Aimee and Jaguar is a German film starring Maria Schrader and Juliane Kohler about two women who become entangled in an impassioned love affair, despite all the odds pointed against their relationship. The film, based on a true story, takes place during Adolph Hitler's reign in Nazi Germany. Lilly Wust (Juliane Kohler) is a German woman, married to a Nazi soldier with four kids. She has grown tired of her relationship with her husband, and seeks some kind of escape from her misery. Meanwhile, a Jewish woman named Felice Schragenheim (Maria Schrader), is hunted by the Gestapo. She has adopted an alias profile and lives with a secret society. She is a fierce and fearless woman. The two women meet by coincidence one day, and Felice, drawn to Lilly, has no shame in seducing her. Similarly, Lilly is attracted to Felice as she admires the courage and ferocity by which she lives her life. Lilly and Felice fall in love and begin to see each other frequently. But, as the environment in Germany becomes more turbulent, so does their relationship. Aimee and Jaguar won several German film awards upon its release. It was also selected as a nominee for a Golden Globe Award in Best Foreign Film. This is a movie you don't want to miss!moreless
