Air Raid Wardens tells the satirical tale of what happens when a pair of losers and failures happen upon espionage of the highest order. Stan (Stan Laurel) and Ollie (Oliver Hardy) are down on their luck when they attempt to enlist in the armed forces, but are turned away. They are both patriotic and wish to help out with the war effort. Still needing employment, Stan and Ollie become air raid wardens. While on the job, however, they discover a group of Nazi spies who plan on blowing up the local magnesium plant. These spies are masquerading as Americans so it will be hard for the duo to expose them and put an end to their devious scheme. This comedy is filled with hilarious gags and one liners, which flow nicely along with the plot. Supporting cast for this 1943 film include Joe Bledsoe (Edgar Kennedy), Dan Madison (Stephen McNally), and Millicent Norton (Nella Walker).
