Airheads is a 1994 comedy film directed by Michael Lehmann. It contains a montage of funny men including, Brendan Fraser, Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi, Chris Farley, and Michael McKean. The story revolves around three bumbling heavy metal musicians (Fraser, Sandler, and Buscemi) who are struggling to get their band's music played on local radio stations. After getting repeated rejections, the group decides to take matters into their own hands. Their plan is to take over a radio station and broadcast their demo tape themselves. With guns pointed (actually water guns), they storm the radio station and confront DJ Ian (Joe Mantegna) and program manager Milo (Michael McKean). Believing that they are in real danger, someone from the radio station notifies the police and the trio decides to keep control by taking hostages. Once the media learns of the standoff, the group unwittingly becomes a media sensation with a captive audience. Now... if only they could find that demo tape.
