Alamo: 13 Days To Glory is a dramatic historical film that attempts to capture the feel of the battle to take The Alamo and the intense internal conflict of the men who fought and died defending it. The story centers around Jim Bowie (James Arness) and his frustrating conflict with Colonel William Travers (Alec Baldwin). Bowie has difficulty learning to put aside his own personal intentions in a common effort to stand up for something he believes in. Davy Crocket (Brian Keith) stands by Bowie's side on the subject of his personal issues as well as on the battlefield. Together, this rag-tag group of Texans must do the impossible and fend off a Mexican army that they can't even hope to defeat. The film features a large amount of battle scenes in an effort to show the somewhat unsettling, but necessary, violence that must occur if humankind is to stand up for the a cause.
