Alaska Seas is a crime drama set in Alaska in the early 1920s. Matt Kelly (Robert Ryan) has recently been released from jail and is looking to make a quick buck. He takes up work with a group of salmon fishermen, who are battling against a gang of bandits robbing their fishing traps. Unbeknownst to his co-worker, Kelly joins the robbers in the hopes of cashing in on their theft ring. Meanwhile Kelly's old friend and fishing partner Jim Kimmerly (Brian Keith) has no idea he is being duped by their new hire. Kimmerly continues to make excuses for his friend as the fish go missing. Thanks to Kelly, Kimmerly ends up losing his fishing boat in an avalanche. In a dramatic turn, Kelly eventually sets out to make things right with the fishermen he wronged along the way. Alaska Seas was released in 1954 and is directed by Jerry Hopper.
