Alias Jesse James is a 1959 comedy western movie starring Bob Hope. Milford Farnsworth (Bob Hope) is an incompetent, naive insurance agent who sells life insurance. One day, unbeknownst to him, Milford sells a $100,000 life insurance policy to the infamous robber and murder Jesse James (Wendell Corey). His boss learns that he has sold Jesse James life insurance, and sends him out West with a check for $100,000, urging him to buy back the policy from Jesse. But Jesse and his girl Cora Lee Collins (Rhonda Fleming) have plans of there own. The couple plans to stage Jesse's death, by killing Milford and dressing him as Jesse once dead. That way, the 'widowed' Cora could collect Jesse's life insurance. The plot thickens though when Milford and Cora fall in love. Jesse and Milford's chase for one another climaxes at the end of the movie, in a classic gun fight where many Western stars make cameos. The question remains: who will be the victor, badass Jesse James, or the inept Milford Farnsworth?moreless
