Alias John Preston is a 1955 British horror movie directed by David MacDonald. The wealthy and mysterious John Preston (Christopher Lee) moves to a small town of Deanbridge and begins to invest in small local businesses and engaging in his new community. In this small town he meets Sally Sandford (Betta St. John), and wins her over and eventually proposes to her. Soon after John begins to have strange dreams about Sylvia (Sandra Dorne), a beautiful woman from his past. Then suddenly Sylvia shows up in Deanbridge to blackmail John. What is she after and what does she know about John Preston and his past? John's dreams become violent and begin to torment him, so he seeks the help of Dr. Walton (Alexander Knox). Dr. Walton believes John is suppressing something from his past and needs to confront these dreams in order to figure them out and must do so before marrying Sally.
