Aliens: Collector's Edition is a 1986 science fiction / horror film from acclaimed director James Cameron and starring Sigourney Weaver in the sequel to the 1979 sci fi classic Alien. In Aliens, Weaver reprises her role as the tough-as-nails Ellen Ripley, a space salvage officer who encountered a powerful and deadly alien species on an uninhabited planet that killed the entire crew of her spaceship except for her. In this film, Ripley returns to the dangerous planet with a unit of Colonial Marines to face her fears and defeat the remaining Aliens. When Ripley is discovered drifting in hyper sleep fifty-seven years after she escaped from planet LV-426, her story is met with skepticism from her former employer. As far as the bosses are concerned, Ripley is the only survivor of the accidental and unexplained loss of a hugely expensive space ship with a full cargo bay. They threaten to permanently ground her unless she accompanies a group of marines back to the planet, where a human colony is currently trying to terraform the hostile environment. Left with no other options, Ripley joins up and returns to the site of her worst nightmare. Aliens: Collectors Edition contains the complete science fiction classic plus all new bonus features.moreless
