All Night Long is the 1962 British drama directed by Basil Dearden which tells the story of Shakespeare's Othello in a modern jazz version. We meet an ambitious and nefarious drummer, Johnny Cousin (Patrick McGoohan), who wants to start his own band. Opposite him is the musician Aurelius Rex (Paul Harris), and his wife Delia (Marti Stevens) who is a retired singer. They receive an anniversary party in London thrown by music promoter Rod Hamilton (Richard Attenborough), and Johnnie tries to persuade Delia out of retirement to join his band. His scheme to alienate Aurelius from his wife includes plans to make Rex think that she is cheating on him with Cass, the band's manager, taking measures like editing recordings of her talking to make it seem like shes saying different things. Things are only made worse when Delia performs a song which makes Rex question her fidelity. Will Cousin succeed in his manipulative plan or will the curtain be pulled back on his deeds?
