Alpha Dog is a 2007 crime drama about Jesse James Hollywood, the youngest person to ever be on the FBI's most wanted list. The film uses alternate names to protect the innocent, but Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch) is based off of Hollywood. The film follows the young drug dealer and his circle of gang member friends in a suburban neighborhood in Claremont, CA. His friends include Frankie Ballenbacher (Justin Timberlake), Tiko Martinez (Fernando Vargas), and Elvis Schmidt (Shawn Hatosy). Bruce Willis plays the role of Johnny's father. The film follows the story and events in the year 2000 that lead up to the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Zack Mazursky, the younger brother of Jake Mazursky who happens to owe Johnny a lot of money. When Jake refuses to pay Johnny the money owed, Johnny kidnaps Zack and holds him for ransom. Oddly, the kidnapping turns into a friendship between Johnny and Zack, but one that never-the-less ends in Zack untimely death.moreless
