Always, is an American film about love, marriage and divorce that was released in 1985, that is directed by and stars Henry Jaglom. David (Henry Jaglom) is blindsided by his wife Judy (Patrice Townsend), when she decides, seemingly on a whim to divorce him. The middle-aged couple decides to meet one night to complete the divorce papers. As emotions linger with uncertainty, and as they question the finality of divorce, the Notary (Amnon Meskin) refuses to sign off on the paperwork. Judy decides to stay the night with David. The following day the couple's best friends Eddie (Alan Rachins) and Lucy (Johanna Frank), along with neighbors and family arrive to celebrate the 4th of July. Unaware of the couple's impending marital situation, the house guests find themselves passing time with the couple, as they comfort one another sharing personal stories, including addictions to chocolate, as they get ready to attend a grand Gala.moreless
