American Crude is a dark comedy that covers a single action-packed day in Los Angeles. Johnny (Ron Livingstone) is a con man, self-assured, unscrupulous and able to talk his way out of any situation. Johnny decides to honor his friend, Bill (Rob Schneider), with a decadent party. Bill is a little distracted lately, however. He is madly in love with the beautiful Olivia (Amanda Detmer), but unfortunately is married to the unwitting Jane (Cynthia Wattros). To make matters worse, Olivia and Jane are best friends. Trying to take his friend's mind off matters, Johnny introduces Bill to the alluring Gigi (Missi Pyle), an exotic dancer with some interesting secrets. Meanwhile, Johnny's father, Mr. Grand (Raymond Berry), is just as unscrupulous as his son, dealing in human trafficking. One of Mr. Grand's past victims, Carlos (Jennifer Esposito), is hungry for revenge and will stop at nothing to get her way. The single day unravels with plenty of scandal, heartache and danger on the streets of Los Angeles.
