American Ninja 5 is the last installment in the popular American Ninja series, starring Lee Reyes, Pat Morita, Anne Dupont, James Lew, and the American Ninja himself, David Bradley. The action centers around Hiro (played by Reyes), a young man who bears the honor of being the last surviving member of a long line of true ninja, a lineage that dates back to ancient Japan. Hiro's grandfather, Master Tetsu (played by Pat Morita) knows the time has come for Hiro to fulfill his warrior destiny. Master Tetsu sends Hiro off to learn ninja techniques from the American Ninja, Joe Kastle (played by David Bradley). Kastle is a powerful and honorable fighter. When his love interest is kidnapped by a notorious gang of ninja warriors, Kastle heads out to take them down and free her. However, Kastle knows he isn't powerful enough to defeat all his enemies. First, he'll have to train young Hiro to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors.
