America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story recounts the brief and very public life of JFK, Jr. Beginning with his famous salute at his father's funeral, John (Kristoffer Polaha) carried a heavy burden of expectation from the public and family demands. He shares a close relationship with his sister, Caroline (Kirsten Bishop), but must give up his dreams of being an actor because his mother, Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis (Jacqueline Bisset) insists on it. Yet, he became a celebrity nonetheless, earning the "Sexiest Man Alive" title from People Magazine and enjoying a movie star girlfriend, Daryl Hannah (Tara Chocol). He fumbles in passing the bar exam and cannot leave his apartment without a press pack in tow. After his mother's untimely death, he meets the lovely and graceful, Carolyn Bessette (Portia de Rossi) and makes a name for himself as a publisher. Unfortunately, the "Kennedy curse" seemed to end his life before he reached its full potential. Director Eric Laneuville based this 2003 biographical drama on the bestseller "The Day John Died" by Christopher Andersen.moreless
