Amusement is a 2008 American horror film directed by John Simpson and starring Katheryn Winnick, Laura Breckenridge, and Jessica Lucas. The film tells the story of three girls and how a decade long hatred toward them is about to turn deadly. While Shelby (Brekenridge) and her boyfriend are on a road trip, they meet a passing semi-truck driver at a gas station. He tells them that the road ahead is full of traffic and that he can lead the way to a short cut. As they follow him, it becomes clear that he has ulterior motives that could prove to be deadly. Tabitha (Winnick) shows up at her aunt's house to check on her cousins, who are currently with the babysitter. When she questions her cousins as to the babysitter whereabouts, they tell her that she has already left. As Tabitha tries to fall asleep, she can't help but notice that something is creepy about the giant life sized clown watching her from across the room. Lisa (Lucas) is searching for her missing roommate with her boyfriend when she stumbles into an old hotel. She explains her situation to a deaf man at the hotel and when he attempts to help her, Lisa realizes that he may not be who he claims to be after all. In the final scene, the girls are brought together and despite the initial feeling of safety, they quickly realize that the killer has brought them there for a reason.moreless
