Andy Williams Sings the Hits is the concert film which features the platinum-selling American singer and variety TV star as he performs some of the biggest pop songs of all time. Howard Andrew Williams, better known as Andy, was born in Iowa, and grew up performing in the children's choir at his church. Andy and his three brothers formed their own quartet, the Williams Brothers Quartet in 1938, and went on to perform on the radio all over the Midwest. His solo career began in 1953, and in 1954 he became a regular on Steve Allen's Tonight Show, getting a recording contract and breaking into the top 10 and even scoring a Billboard #1 hit with "Butterfly". In 1962 he got his own TV variety show, performing alongside Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Elton John, Mama Cass, The Osmonds, Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis and more legends of entertainment. His easygoing style kept him on the pop charts for 50 years, and now you can take a walk down memory lane with this collection of his hits.
