Angel Eyes is a 2001 romantic drama directed by Luis Mandoki and starring Jennifer Lopez, Jim Caviezel, Alfonso Arau, and Jeremy Sisto. Sharon Pogue (Jennifer Lopez) is a bitter and angry Chicago police officer who has a strained relationship with her family for having her father Carl (Victor Argo) arrested for beating her mother Josephine (Sonia Braga). Catch (James Caviezel) is a strange and mysterious man who walks the streets of the city in a zombie-like trance, doing good deeds and helping anyone he meets. One day, Sharon, after chasing a criminal, is held at gunpoint, and Catch saves her life. Catch and Sharon meet for coffee and slowly begin to fall in love. The two lovers have both suffered severe emotional pain in their lives and this pain bonds them together. It turns out that Catch's wife and child both died in a horrific car accident. Since that tragedy, Catch has been unable to live any kind of normal life. Together, with their love, Catch and Sharon work to heal their emotional traumas.moreless
