Angel's Dance follows want-to-be hit man Tony Greco (Kyle Chandler) as he is schooled in the art of death by Stevie "The Rose" Rosellini (James Belushi). After Tony saves the life of a powerful Mafia boss's nephew, the family offers him a place in their life of crime. To train him for his first assignment, killing the Mafia's accountant before he can give evidence to the authorities, he's sent to Los Angeles for training. Stevie is the epitome of California-cool, beginning his coaching sessions with readings from philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and using water pistols for marksmanship training. But before Tony can graduate and take his first assignment back home, he must complete a kill of a randomly selected stranger picked from the phone book. The target is Angelica Chaste (Sheryl Lee), or Angel. Angel is a disturbed woman. Her mother left when she was young, she believes her doll is actually her baby and she spends her nights working in a mortuary. Tony finds her as she's making her most recent suicide attempt and can't bring himself to kill her. That's when Stevie decides he must step in and finish the job.moreless
