Angels Don't Sleep Here is a 2002 thriller directed by Paul Cade. Ten years ago, Jessie Daniels (Dana Ashbrook) mysteriously disappeared. Ever since then, his twin brother Michael (Dana Ashbrook), who is a top forensic pathologist, has been frantically trying to figure out what happened to him. Michael heads back to his hometown in Los Angeles to investigate the mystery further and gets help from Kate Porter (Kelly Rutherford), a district attorney who used to be Jessie's girlfriend. Kate thinks that her own estranged father, Mayor Harry S. Potter (Roy Scheider), might have something to do with Jessie's disappearance. Michael's investigation brings antagonism from Mayor Potter and corrupt detective Russell Stark (Robert Patrick), who both seem determined to bury the truth about what happened to Jessie. As Michael finds himself being framed for horrible crimes he did not commit, he begins to suspect that his brother is not dead after all.
