Another Man, Another Chance, directed by Claude Lelouch, is a love story set in France and America after the fall of Napoleon III. Jeane (Genevieve Bujold) and her boyfriend Francis (Francis Huster) escape the Franco-Prussian War by heading to the American West. Once they arrive, Jeane and Francis open a photo shop. Filmed on location in Tuscon, Arizona, Another Man, Another Chance follows Jeane's trials and tribulations as she makes her way in a strange country following Francis' death. Alone and caring for her baby, Jeane decides to return to France. However, she meets veterinarian Jimmy (James Caan) and resolves to stay in America. Jimmy, too, has had his share of troubles. His wife was raped and murdered by desperadoes. Without his wife, Jimmy is lost and bent on revenge. They fall in love and work to piece together a new life with the memories of their lost loves fresh in their minds.
