Any Wednesday is a comedy in which Ellen Gordon (Jane Fonda) is a young woman being pursued by married business executive John Cleves (Jason Robards.) Ellen eventually gives in when she's close to being evicted from her current apartment, and John offers her his executive apartment. The two then begin to meet every Wednesday while his wife thinks he's out of town on business. A visiting business associate of John's is sent to stay in the apartment by John's secretary, who is unaware that Ellen is currently staying there. Cass Henderson (Dean Jones), the business associate, promptly falls for Ellen. John's wife also ends up at the apartment and finds Ellen and Cass there. She mistakenly assumes they are a married couple from out of town staying in the apartment together. Mrs. Cleves (Rosemary Murphy), unaware of the real situation, invites Ellen and Cass to dinner with her and John. Will John's wife uncover the real relationship between the three of them?moreless
