Arang is a Korean horror film that was released in 2006. It is related to The Legend of Arang, a 400-year-old Korean myth. After coming back from a suspension, a veteran detective is assigned to a new murder case with a new partner who is just a rookie. The murder victim, a broke ex-con, died a horrific death and it seems as though he ingested acid. When two more deaths occur, both being former acquaintances of the ex-con, with the same cause of death, the detectives become even more suspicious. Once the detectives link their current murders with a ten-year-old cold case, where a girl was found dead in a salt storehouse, things start to get even more nerve racking. The veteran detective, while trying to figure out how it all ties together, begins having nightmares where the young dead girl appears to her, which only adds to the growing number of questions that have no answers.
