Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers is a filmed 1982 live performance concert film. It took place at the Smithsonian Institute with a packed audience in the auditorium all dressed in their classiest formal attire. The concert features Art Blakey on drums, Wynton Marsalis on trumpet, Branford Marsalis on tenor sax, Bill Pierce on baritone sax, Donald Brown on piano, and Charles Fambrough on stand up bass. They play the songs Little Man, My Ship, New York, and Webb City. This concert is a fantastic musical time capsule and a must see for fans of Jazz music. The concert is just under an hour long.
