As You Like It is a 1992 version of Shakespeare's romantic comedy of young lovers caught in complicated love triangles. Using modern-day dress and language, the film tells the story of Rosalind (Emma Croft), a yuppie who flees the posh world of London banking, along with her cousin Celia (Celia Bannerman) and friend Touchstone (Griff Rhys Jones). At the same time, Orlando (Andrew Tiernan), who falls for Rosalind at first sight, similarly finds himself out on the streets with his friend, Adam (Cyril Cusack) because of his power-hungry brother Oliver (also Andrew Tiernan). These yuppie refugees disguise themselves as homeless youth in an encampment near the Thames River. Rosalind has taken the disguise of a young man, and another street girl, Phoebe (Valerie Gogan) falls in love with him, thus breaking the heart of Silvius (Ewen Bremner), who loves Phoebe. Rosalind tries to sort out these complicated love triangles while also testing the depth of Orlando's affection with an ingenious plan.moreless
