Assassination Tango is a gritty crime thriller released in 2002. The film opens with John J. Anderson (Robert Duvall), a professional hitman who travels to Argentina for a new job. Once there, he meets his contact and discovers that his boss wants the death of a former military man. Anderson convinces himself that the job is darker than he ever imagined and begins exhibiting paranoid behavior. He quickly learns that someone connected to the job wants everyone involved with the job out of the picture. Anderson meets the lovely dancer Manuela (Luciana Pedraza), though he continues feeling distrustful of those around him. After the general returns to the country, Anderson tries to accomplish his mission. As the movie progresses, Anderson discovers that his paranoid beliefs may have a factual basis. While someone wants to kill the general, that same person may want Anderson dead too, but only after finishing one last job.
