Assault on Precinct 13 is a 1976 action thriller directed by John Carpenter. The film is set in Los Angeles, California, where gang violence is on the rise despite a police crack down. The war between the police and the gangs comes to a head when a little girl is shot in front of her father. The father, traumatized by the sudden, violent death, picks up a gang member's discarded gun and kills the gang leader. He instinctively goes to the police station, precinct 13, for protection. Unfortunately, this precinct is getting ready to be closed, and only a skeleton crew and a few prisoners are there. New police officer, Ethan Bishop (Austin Stoker), is the cop on duty when the father arrives. Before Bishop can wrap his mind around what has happened, the precinct is under attack from gang members who tracked the father down. Can Bishop protect his crew, the father and the prisoners from the gang members, or will the gang get revenge for their leader's death?moreless
