Attack on Darfur is a riveting drama about a group of journalists who are conflicted in their reporting on the crisis in Darfur. In the Darfur region of southern Sudan, horrible acts of violence are carried out, in a seemingly never ending struggle between Arabs and African Muslims. In a remote Sudanese village, reporting on these horrible atrocities by renegade rebel groups, are a group western media members, including reporters Bob Jones (Billy Zane) and Malin Lausberg (Kristanna Loken) and photographer Adrian Archer (Edward Furlong). Harsh international pressure has initiated a ceasefire between the sides, and the band of journalists have been appointed by the United Nations to investigate, seeking to find proof that the most vicious of the rebels, the Janjaweed, are in fact sponsored by the state. Their searching comes up empty, but on their way out of the small village in which they were reporting, they see the Janjaweed slowly nearing the city. The dedicated journalists are faced with a big decision, whether to stay and prevent more violence from happening, or go away to report the already terrible crimes against humanity. Uwe Boll directs this realistic and very harsh film about an all too real threat to life.moreless
