Avalanche is a 1969 film directed by John Danischewsky, is an incredibly rare film now available on DVD. The film written and directed by Danischewsky is an action packed adventure into the depths of the enormous Swiss Alps. The story follows a group of English children and their families up these gigantic, yet dangerous peaks. Everything seems to be going just fine until one of the children breaks their leg. The rest of the children band together and manage to get the hurt child to the safety of a mountain lodge, but just in time to be smoldered by a vicious avalanche. Now the children have a bigger problem than just a broken bone - they must find a way to dig themselves out. This family drama is about working together, the struggles and innocence of youth, and the undying condition of the human will to live. The film stars Howard Marion-Crawford, Moustache, Tarek Sharif, and Totti Truman Taylor.
