Away We Go is an excellent dramatic comedy directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Jarhead, Revolutionary Road). The film is an adaptation of the screenplay written by Dave Eggers (A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius). The film centers around Verona (Maya Rudolph) and Burt (John Krasinski), a couple in their early thirties who have recently become pregnant. Six months into their pregnancy, Verona and Burt begin to face the issue of where and how to raise their baby. They decide to set out on a series of trips, where they will visit friends and family in different cities. They hope the adventure will provide them with an idea of where they might like to settle down and raise a kid. The cast of friends and family include: Jeff Daniels, Catherine O'Hara, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Paul Schneider, Carmen Ejogo, Jim Gaffigan, Josh Hamilton, Allison Janney, Melanie Lynskey, and Chris Messina.
