Bad Timing, set in Cold War-era Vienna, follows Dr. Alex Linden (Art Garfunkel) as he becomes consumed by an erotic affair with the mercurial Milena Flaherty (Theresa Russell). When the lovers' passion takes an ill-advised and life-threatening turn, Inspector Netusil (Harvey Keitel) must get to the sordid bottom of it all. The musical score features Tom Waits, The Who and Billie Holiday. Nicolas Roeg directs with his usual offbeat panache.
